BALL STATE FOOTBALL TRAINING COMPLEX AUDITORIUM

Project responsibilities included compliance review of building, fire & life safety, accessibility, and egress design elements for approx. 120,000-sf 2-story addition to the existing building. The new uses include; 2,000 seat auditorium, film rooms, locker rooms, and coach/ staff offices. The project was delivered on time and within budget.

COLLEGE OF SOUTHERN NEVADA – MAIN CAMPUS BUILDING

Project responsibilities included building & fire code analysis and ADA/accessibility audits under the 2012 IBC & 2010 ADA for this existing approx. 320,000-sf facility of; classrooms, lecture halls, dining commons, library, planetarium, gymnasium, and 1,500 seat performing arts venue. Project resulted in a mitigation report to outline compliance steps needed to achieve full compliance with current codes & standards. This will allow proposed and future renovations & expansion projects to be done within a compliance baseline. The project was delivered on time and within the original budget.

HAKKASAN RESTAURANT & NIGHTCLUB

Project responsibilities included ADA/accessibility design, egress design, construction phasing access diagrams, and peer review of the fire protection report for this 250,000 sf, 5-story, $40m nightclub and restaurant located at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino.

LUCKY DRAGON HOTEL AND CONFERENCE CENTER

Project responsibilities included full code, fire protection and life safety, egress design, accessibility design review for renovation of the existing casino into an assembly/conference center with theater, meeting rooms, ballrooms and break-out rooms. This project is currently in the design phase and is anticipated to be permitted by December 2019.

PARKDALE COMMUNITY CENTER

Project responsibilities included ADA/accessibility compliance review and alternate methods & materials request for the new community center building with multiple assembly spaces, meeting rooms, and common areas. The alternate allowed sprinklers to be omitted for the existing (adjacent) senior center building. This project was delivered on time, and at a substantial cost savings to the public.

UNLV STUDENT RECREATION CENTER

DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS – STATE OF NEVADA
Project responsibilities included plans-check review of building, fire, accessibility, and egress elements for this 4-story student fitness center with fitness, psychological counseling, and medical health clinic. The building included “whole-building” atrium that required multiple active fire protection systems in the design to achieve full code compliance. This project was delivered on time and within budget.

UNLV SCIENCE ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY BUILDING

DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS – STATE OF NEVADA
Project responsibilities included the preparation and submittal of a hazardous commodities storage permit and a comprehensive life safety report that outlined the primary code requirements for fire & life safety features. The facility was designed to facilitate collaborative research in science and engineering and is equipped with dynamically allocated space that can easily be converted among uses and includes multiple 1,000+ seat lecture halls and theaters. This project was delivered on time and within budget.
